I did a good amount of research before I bought this subwoofer. Both online and in the store. I have a rectangle room, 24x18, 8 ft ceiling, and my entertainment system is in the corner of the room with the sub behind it. There is plenty of room to breath for the sub and the walls fill the room with base pretty well. I should say it is not my preferential setup but I have a wife to consider. Some reviews I read said that the base could be muddy or the sub was too weak for their room. Barring vaulted ceilings or just giant rooms, I don't see it.I have a yamaha ysp 3050 that delivers the signal and controls the levels. If I want more base I use the yamaha to control the sub levels. I set the sub volume and signal range to my preference and it delivers clean, clear, consistent base from action movies to any type of music you listen to. It hits hard and deep if thats your thing and it rounds out baritone voices without overpowering the rest of the conversation. The accuracy is excellent. For the money I paid, or the average store price even, this sub is a top pick. If you are not a completely tweaked out audiophile that listens to your system with a stethoscope I am sure you would be very pleased with this sub any way you set it up. Plenty of boom for the buck. The only cons I have are that it is bulky and a sealed box or down firing setup could be the slightest bit cleaner. If you have the money, buy a much more expensive sub and then buy this one, I think you will be equally impressed.Read full review
I have been running Polks biggest shelf speakers (rt 55 not made anymore) for almost 20 years and I've been putting off getting this type of matching sub because the rt 55's had good "fill". I stepped up to the 110 because power=better bass... I tuned it to crossover at about 1.75 octave of the main speakers (about 120 hz)and decided to put it to the test with some kick ass Cali reggae. It did not disappoint one bit, this thing is worth every penny for what it does for your low end. I literally vibrate the frame anywhere in my house, and it is incredibly clean all the way down to the concrete, now that's impressive... :)

We have been using product for 4 weeks. I believe that since we have a very large open floor plan (24 x 40), the subwoofer does not give the "punch" I was hoping for. However it does sound good, and is an improvement over what we had. The main speakers are Polk RTA 8TL, center Polk CS 1 , Polk RT 15 rears. My decision to purchase this subwoofer were price, and size. It looks good, and was easy to hook up, and can hide it alongside a cabinet. I may try some different locations in the room for better "impact". Overall, I feel it was a good value for the money @$160.00.
I bought this sub as a replacement for a more powerful Polk sub , and I'm not disappointed . Once i got the fine toning don , I'm very happy with this item , great low end bass , and it's just as lowed as i can use in the space i got. If you need a good sub , and don't want to spend a ton of money on it, this sub is a very good option for you,
Awesome and powerful sound and bass bottom. Makes all action movies come to life.
