I have the sldr in Taylor Made and it is very inconsistent and to me hard to hit causing big problems trying to be in the fairway. A friend at the range let me hit his xhot 5 wood and it went far and straight so I ordered one on e-bay. That worked out well so I ordered the xhot 3 wood on e-bay and found it much easier to hit off the deck and it actually drove past where my sldr driver would be. SO it made sense to order this xhot driver. I played with it in a monthly men's club tournament yesterday and was extremely pleased, seeing new places on my home course rarely if ever seen with other drivers AND I am $127. richer today winning some prize money somewhat attributable to the new driver. This driver gets my endorsement, that's for sure.

I own 12 other drivers, some Callaway, Cleveland, and others. I can tell you this is the longest hitter I have. Also very forgiving on mis hits. I also noticed it reduces fades and draws compared to other drivers I hit. Mine came with the Aldila Tour Blue shaft in R flex. The shaft feels good, not too flexible at all. I still play Stiff shafts in other drivers. I saw no directional control difference. I would estimate on a solid hit, the X Hot is 10 yards longer than any of my other drivers. The biggest difference is the reduced penalty on mis hits. Even one I hit more off the toe of the driver, was still in play, and maybe 20 yards shorter then my best swing. I was also looking at the newer XR driver. I do not think there is enough difference in performance to buy it versus the X2 Hot. They both take either version 1 or version 2 of the Opti Fit shaft tip, which expands your shaft options.Read full review

The X-Hot driver is light, yet you can still feel where the head is during your swing. It does exactly what most of the reviews says it does. I'm speaking to the regular X Hot, 460cc head, with an upgraded Diamanta 62CT, stiff shaft. I'm normally a slicer, and have still sliced with this driver, but that's my issue. Forgiving: Absolutely it's forgiving just about anywhere on the face that you make contact with the ball. The best thing about the forgiveness is that you will still see decent distance. Even your low, duck hook mistakes get the ball out there in playable position most times. I was playing a Callaway Razr-Fit Extreme, and it will now be going up for sale. Distance: The longest driver I have ever hit. One of the courses I play has a 323 yard, par 4. Yes, I landed on the green, pin high first time on the course with this driver. My buddies and I always try to hit the green on this hole and in the 2 years I've been playing golf, none of us has ever done it. I'm not normally a 300 yard guy, but I finally did it with this driver. I just don't have anything negative to say about it. I've always hated the big-headed, 460cc game improvement drivers, but the matt gray finish, with the designs on the outer edges really hide the size of the head.Read full review

Don't believe all the hype and hoop la about extra yards etc. I have a older adjustable driver lie, loft etc with a 10 gram heavier shaft. Figured that a four year old club was a little behnd in distance etc. Not, it goes just as far as the new X Hot. I hit the X Hot with tape on the face and most hits 90% or more were in the sweat spot area and went no farther. It's a good hitting club, like the feel std 46 inches long, that's where the extra yard or two migh be gained. I would reconmend it, but unless your a hack don't expect leaps and gains of extra yardage.
we had a few warm days here in february so i went to our local league golf course and hit about 40 of my own golf balls on the driving range. i am very happy with my first experience with the driver. will be using it for some rounds at hilton head island in a couple of weeks. Don
