Better than I expected. I really enjoy going through this game. The biggest downside is that you only get a "code" to continue the game when you die and when you continue with that code, it takes you to the exact level you died at. So when you die fighting a boss, the code it gives you brings you right back to the boss without any upgraded stats which makes it nearly impossible.

This is one of the first games I had ever played as a kid, and 20 years later, it's still a lot of fun to play! The game is a side-scrolling Bomberman game, 5 worlds, 25 levels total, as well a Bonus Mode with 3 levels. It's not a long game, but definitely worth a play through if you dig any great Game Boy/Game Boy Color games!

Ah, memories... A true classic, very accessible for youngsters below the age of 6! Multiple levels, levels within levels, simple goals to accomplish, side view left-right up-down scrolling, jumping, unlimited ammo (bombs), easy to kill enemies... Mainly a matter of coordination and timing, a great game for beginners to learn on, also a very relaxing game for old timers and expert gamers alike.. (Does play in color on the appropriate platforms, though the cartridge is not labeled gameboy color, merely as gameboy - apparently, produced prior to the remarking relabelling production changes commonly found on later gameboy color games.)
My son was given a gameboy color, but it didn't have any games. I ordered this and it came really quickly. My son loves playing it and hasn't put it away much since receiving it.
