I had to read this for a class, but if you're looking for a resource, I wouldn't recommend buying this book. It is evident that the author has a rather limited perspective, and seems unaware of the breadth and diversity of Christian worship. There are some decent suggestions here and there, but it's hard to get through the author's inaccurate generalizations.
This book is not only an excellent resource for gaining knowledge about the nuts and bolts of transitioning from a traditional to a more contemporary worship service, but it is also a great resource about all aspects of worship and "converging" ancient and modern in all the aspects/parts of the worship service and not just the music.
