There is an old adage that states "You can't judge a book by its cover." I would like to add "You can't judge a book by its title....or subtitle." I bought this book basically on its title and subtitle which was a mistake. As a Christian, I know there is no "Plan B" with God because His Plan A is always right, just, and best. However, from a human perspective, if our "Plan A" doesn't work out as we would like, we call the resultant plan "Plan B" for our lives. What we view as Plan B is actually part of God's Plan A for us....we can't just can't see or appreciate it as such when we are going through what we view as our Plan B. I found this book to be very lightweight on Biblical content and principles but loaded with people examples of their Plan B. While sharing human life examples in a book helps the reader to see he/she is not the only one going through unwanted experiences, to overload a book with human life examples without tying them (or minimally tying them) to Biblical content and application defeats what I think was the author's purpose as well as leaves the reader dissatisfied. This book does little to help an individual going through hard times understand what is happening, why it is happening, how to endure what is happening, and how to grow in faith and trust in God during times of trial. In place of this book, I would HIGHLY recommend: Why, by Anne Graham Lotz; The Red Sea Rules, by Robert Morgan; and Waiting on God, by Dr. Charles Stanley. In these three books the reader will gain understanding for why trials happen, how to endure trials; how to better understand God's perspective in trials; how to continue to trust God (or build trust in God if you don't have it) during trials; how to strengthen your relationship with God during times of trial which will better help you to endure, understand, and grow through trials; and gain a better and clearer understanding of what it means to truly have faith in God during trials and truly trust God during trials. I would not recommend Plan B for someone going through hard times and trials of faith and seeking to understand the why and how of getting through them. I would recommend any (I highly recommend all three) of the three books I've described above. All three are available here on ebay.Read full review

Excellent book, gives a great perspective on how when our plan A doesn't work out, we can turn to God's plan B which is always a much better plan even though we may have trouble accepting it at first. We belong to a group of about 25 Christian friends who meet once a week and this is our book of study.
