This Pixhawk has everything you need, including a USB port extension. It comes with no instructions. But, with the list of items included with this Pixhawk, you can easily find online videos explaining how to use and install each item. Points to consider - You will need a FTDI adapter to be able to flash firmware and updates to the telemetry and Minin OSD. The “Air” telemetry radio that goes on the craft comes wired for APM. You must replace the connection wire and install the Pixhawk wire included. To do this you have to open the radio’s plastic case. It pops open allowing you to update the firmware and replace the wire. Use the APM wire that is attached to the Air radio to connect to the FTDI adapter. Remember to connect the tx pin to the rx pin and the rx pin to the tx pin. Otherwise, it will not update. Also, connect the DTR pin on the FTDI to the RTS pin on the air radio. Once done, you will be able to flash the radio board. IMPORTANT- the Pixhawk wire you are going to connect to the Air radio has two different pin connections at each end. You must connect the end that has the two empty spaces on the connector between the black wire and the green wire, to the 2nd telemetry port on the Pixhawk. You also have to flash the Minim OSD board. You must open the plastic case too and connect it to the FTDI with jumper wires. Remember, tx to rx and rx to tx. There is no connection on the OSD board for the FTDI DTR pin. To flash the board you press the little reset button, hold it pressed until you hit the download/flash button on the online program you are using, and then you release the reset button and it will flash. Note- for the OSD to work you must flash a Mavlink based program. If you get a message on your OSD saying waiting for Mavlink heartbeat, you will know you flashed the wrong program. If you flash everything correctly, you will find that it all works perfectly and with a simple dipole antenna you will have a 15+ mile telemetry range. Finally, it won’t be easy to find and flash all the correct updates and firmware. But, you will eventually accomplish it and you will learn a lot along the way. You will then be able to integrate Arduino technology to RC technology opening up a whole new world of possibilities. Bon chance.Read full review
