The Ping Scottsdale TR Piper C putter is a semi-mallet with a center shaft. It contains the True Roll technology, which I have tested and confirm that it works. The lie is adjustable. Theoretically the 3-deg of loft is adjustable, but I have not changed it. The grip is superb - a mid-sized cord with sharp corners to really control the open or close of the clubface. About 70% of the population is back eye dominant, so they should use a blade putter with offset, either double bend shaft or plumber's neck hosel. But for the 30% of us that are front eye dominant (as we address our putts), a rounded head with minimal sight lines and NO offset allows us to better line up our putts from the clubface to eyes to brain. So this model is good for right-handed putters with left-eye dominance. It also is functional to scoop up the ball with its flange. Decent headcover. MacGregor and Bobby Grace have putters with Distance Correcting Technology similar to Ping's True Roll. Most major brands are dabbling in producing putters that get the ball rolling sooner, and make mis-strikes roll farther, but none have excelled the way the MacGregor DCT, Grace, or Ping putters have. Odyssey, Bridgestone, Nike, Guerin Rife, Yes, and TaylorMade have good models trying to improve distance lag. But this Ping is as good as they get. Recommended.Read full review
