I replaced my old Norelco shaver with this model. It does give a good shave but seems to take longer than my old shaver did. That might be because the old shaver contained three blades in each blade set where this one uses only one blade. I do like that it is lighter and easier to manuver over the face and neck areas. I did like the battery indicator better on the old one as it would indicate how much charger was left. The new one only tells you that it is time to put it back on the charger. I suppose you could get caught with not enough charge left to finish a shave. Time will tell if lasts as long as my old one did.

My old Norelco (!0+ years old) Batteries didn't want to hold a charge so a replacement was due. This new model looked nice so I decided to buy it. electric razors usually take time to brake in This one works OK not a close shave, in fact I finish up using my old Norelco. Gives a pretty good shave but so far not as close as I expected from a Norelco. Hopefully it will get better the longer I use it.

I've been using electric shavers for the past 20 years. They never shave as close as a good blade; but they are always more convenient and they are getting better and better. I really like the idea of a rotary shaver as opposed to the standard design that has the motor reversing itself thousands of times a min. This Philips is the best rotary that I have ever tried. It is quite, and waterproof. If you wish you can lather up in the shower and get a really good shave. Previously, only Panasonic shavers were good in the shower. They can be washed under the tap. I'd say the Panasonic models (I have several) are still the best for a cose shave but at the cost of some face irration. The Norelco is easy on my skin with no razor burn. In several weeks of use, I have not seen fit to go back to any other shaver.Read full review
As the title indicates, this is a great electric razor with excellent battery life and provides a smooth shave. The only negative is that it does not have the sideburn trimmer built right into it, but that is relatively minor.

I’ve had one of these 1150’s for about 10 years now and the only complaint is the power button cracks other than that the unit is nice. Battery last about 6 years but that’s based on your charging habits. Blades could hold a edge a little better but that’s based on case specific individuals. Overall a good shaver
