The razor provides a good clean and close shave, as one would expect from a Norelco electric razor. It has the standard HQ8 shaver heads which have always seemed to do a good job, especially if you let your beard grow for four or five days, and then it still works as compared to a foil style razor. The rotary cutting razor system also seems to work better for people like me with curly hair and with a mixed grain beard direction, as compared to other styles of electric razors.

Pros: lightweight; durable; gives a close shave; has a trimmer feature; shaves closely in challenging areas. Cons: None that I have found in using the identical model for 15 years.

I have had this type razer for years. My old one served me for 20 years and I bought this one for the fun of it. It is a great razer. This time I read the directions. I clean every time and use mineral oil as directed. These make a huge difference.

I had used an older Norelco (think it was XL8240 or something like that) for close to 30 years. I'd replaced rotors a few times and it was due again but they were so expensive that I found I could buy this whole razor for not a lot more than just the rotors and figured it was time for a new one anyhow so decided to try this one. I think it is a little faster than the old one ever was but not sure it cuts quite as close, though it's very acceptable. I have not tried it "wet".

Everything came great right from the Box But when I opened up the power cord adapter Out of the bag It works but looks like shredded spaghetti Over all I would have to rate the shaver in excellent working condition But the power cord adapter I would have to rate it very low Not in good shape at all
