Phil is a great poker player, with his records, its obvious. but he sucks at writing books and putting his thoughts onto paper. most of the book is about how he stresses that everyone doesn't know anything about poker. There are a few useful tips, but everything useful in that book could be summed up into one or 2 pages. i read it. i didn't like it. i read a lot of other poker books. and this doesn't even come close to all others. i bought it cause its cheap.
This is a great little book easy to read with loads of tips from author and poker pro Phil Hellmuth who is always fun to watch on TV. I only wish I could play like him.
This Book does tend to be for the beginner. But has some good information for the intermediate player as well. It promotes thought. and that is probably the best thing about it, It gets you to thinking of strategies that you might not have otherwise thought of.
This is a great way to learn poker. Teaches stuff above the basics to enhance your hold'em game. Teaches about how to bid and when not to. Also, goes through some example hands and analyzes them step-by-step.
