I'm not one of those people that rates albums at 5/5 flippantly, which is why this one is only a 4 rating. Having said that, it's freaking great. TFK has crafted a nice cache of songs here to adrenalize the mind, spirit, and body. Their faith in God rests firmly in the palm of their hands, as evident in songs like "This is a Call" and "Faith, Love and Happiness", although the punch of their music often hits hard with a closed fist. Furious drum beats and frantic lyric spitting sprinkle over "Quicken", a massive sounding tune that wants to crush your ear drums into submission. In fact, most of the best singles -- "Phenomenon", "Bounce", "Rawkfist" -- practically beg to be played at full volume in a moving car, windows open so the world can share in it. The songs you won't hear on radio are also fairly infectious as well, although not always reaching the climactic energy of its most high-profile songs. Producer Aaron Sprinkle makes this recording shine with the biggest can of Simoniz he could find, and the results are powerful. Of course, the sparkle and shine in the music makes one wonder what the band will revert to in a live setting . . . energy of the highest octane like this is often hard to replicate live. Still, this is a strong offering with virtually no fillers.Read full review
This is the CD that really got people to take notice of Thousand Foot Krutch. Trevor stepped away mostly from the rap stylings of their previous recordings and started incorporating more singing into their music. The production was more solid on this one as well. Musically, it's the classic TFK we've know and have come to love. Great CD. Definitely recommend it to current fans, or anyone checking out the band for the first time...

TFK's Phenomenon is really good. Maybe some people would disagree, but I used to listen to Linkin Park, and Three Days Grace. Over the last few years, both bands have gotten depressing and contain more swearing in their songs; and Thousand Foot Krutch is a great alternative to those bands! The CD may not be as good as "The Art of Breaking", or "The Flame in all of Us", but it definitely schools most Christian Hard Rock/Nu-Metal bands. Overall the CD is worth it, and the best song on the album is "Rawkfist"!
This is Thousand Foot Krutch's best cd. It had the perfect combination of hip hop and hard rock. From 2002-2004 there were a number of musicians that made good albums with this type of genre (TobyMac-Momentum, Pillar-Fireproo/Where Do We Go From Here, KJ-52-It's Pronounced Five Two). Phenomenon also features their number 1 song (also a number 1 radio song), Rawkfist. The entire album is great.
Phenomenon is by far the best album produced by Thousand Foot Krutch! I bought this album because Thousand Foot Krutch is my favorite christain band. I was very surprised by the acoustics/vocals produced by Trevor & the gang. These guy's have an amazing ability to spread God's word while using todays awesome rock melodies. I was truley blesed by this album and I would highly recomend it to anyone!
