An excellent band, and as of 2017 put out their 6th or 7th album (in case you thought they died out in the 90s - they're still at it!), their seminal album, Pet Your Friends, is full of deep, sexy, soulful, alternative rock. After many years, and I'd seen them perform live numerous times in the 90s and early 2000s, I listen again today and immediately still love Charlie Brown's Parents the best, so satisfying, then Counting Blue Cars, Emma Peel; there isn't a dull song to be found here, they're all rich and colorful. This was the album that somewhat defined a couple of my teen years, driving around, late at night, winning the girl, losing the girl, then I ventured further, Counting Crows, Bush, Black Crowes, Ben Folds, Live. I'm really not familiar with their last 15 years or so of albums, though I did hear Opaline, but I'll check out the rest. In 2017 they put out a new one.Read full review
