A great addition to complement the 1st AF Pentax that I bought years ago, the SF-1... It is super-light, easy to use and takes great photos. My only gripe is not being able to select the AF point when doing close-up portraits. Manual focusing is your best bet here to be sure of spot-on focus of the eyes.
compared to other cameras of that era, Canon Elan 7 and EOS3, it does not compare well. purchased two ZX7's and both had issues. I am sure there are Minoltas and Nikons that would also be a better picks.

Although I haven't run any film through this camera yet, I have used similar cameras in the past and have found them to be dependable, quality cameras. I purchased a lens for this camera from KEH and am just waiting for the right moment to use try the system out.

After 22 years as a photographer my son is now taking a photo class. This camera is a good starter and easy to understand. He loved it and it also was a birthday present. I am a Nikon man but Pentax was one of my first back in the 70's.
