The P3 camera is made of very sturdy plastic and can take a severe beating. The design means that there are no light seals to wear out, ever! The shutter is very accurate, being an electronic design, and with the A series of PK lenses, this does auto exposure! The meter is spot on and very easy to use. It uses very easy to find and inexpensive S76 button batteries and they will last about a year! Like most of the Pentax 35mm SLR bodies, including the newest digital models, the lenses made from the stone age will fit and work! There is a small window on the back cover that shows you what film is loaded, AND IF film is loaded! This camera will easily do multiple exposures and uses the dedicated Pentax flash units along with many of the generic auto and manual flash units. I use a radio trigger with multiple flashes, and it makes beautiful images! The film loading is easy and quick and if you watch the rewind knob you KNOW the film is winding correctly. I have 2 of these camera bodies and many lenses, A P3n and a P30t, one gets B/W film, and the other gets color film. This unit has a mechanical shutter release port, a self timer function and a DOF preview lever. I can live without a selectable ISO, but I would prefer to have that option. If this camera had a mechanical shutter that did not rely on batteries and selectable ISO and an indicator in the viewfinder for the aperture selected, this would be the most perfect film 35mm slr pentax ever made! Without those three features this camera body falls just short of the venerable Pentax MX body which has NO auto exposure but is my absolute GoTo 35mm SLR camera body. The Pentax P3n is a dream machine. Well designed and built, it brings back the joy of film photography. It has the features that a dedicated photographer needs. No unnecessary gimmicks. The array of K-mount lenses that it can use are vast and, rest assured, of the best quality. The viewfinder is large, the info inside is just what you need, and the numbers are easily visible. The camera is fairly light and fits very well in the hands. It has a solid feel to it. In fact, it's a good-looking, moderately-sized camera. It's obvious that the Pentax engineers were at the top of their game when they designed it, chose the materials, and created it. These cameras are easy to find. The quality they have is outstanding and cheap to buy. The only con is that it only accepts DX coded film. You cannot set the ASA. This is a very small inconvenience considering the tremendous overall quality. With the P3n, film still rules in serious photography. Enjoy!Read full review

Product came exactly on time. The camera itself is in excellent condition, no scratches on the lens and only a few scratches from previous use at the base. The manuals that came with were all in good condition and the leather casing looked very new as well. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my buy.

I needed this camera for my kid who is taking a photo class, and I am impressed the way this camera works, excellent pictures and very easy to use. My kid learned all the features and He is very happy to have it.
I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it!! He has trouble with using the new digital camera's. He's not very tech capable. It is easy to load and the extra lens I bought has great focusing power a plus for for my husband. Over all this is a really nice little camera especially for the price. If you are not into all the hype and BS about digital camera's then this is for you.
