This was a good book on the authors ideas for a passive heated house. It had some nice ideas on using conventional materials to build a passive heated house. I would liked to have seen more up to date info on a passive heated and cooled house that was zero net energy, instead of using fans to move the air where it was needed. There was very little info on cooling a passive house of his design. The author was also very technical about the mathematics of passive solar, which was a bit over my head and not why I bought the book. I would reccomend this book for those wanting to build a passive solar house in the colder climates and want technical info on how to build the authors type of solar passive house.
good stuff here

Good ideas in this book, but it is up to the builder to choose which ideas best suit the application. Passive solar construction is relatively young in comparision to standard building practices, so the reader needs to know what they are doing.
