Overall I am happy with this phone. I was looking for a phone with a quirty keyboard that would allow me to email easier. It does that and it is pretty easy to use in that way. I like that it can be used in advanced mode or easy mode. It doesn't make sense that some of the functions like pedometer only works in easy mode. Keep in mind it is not a smart phone, but it is smarter than my old razer. I really liked the Samsung similar model with an easy to use keyboard but the email type was way to small. The type for this phone can be adjusted and is really great. also my husbands iphone 4 has such a quiet alert of emails that he misses some. My phone is great, email and voice mail alerts can be adjusted to variety of levels and they don't just send one notification, it continues to do so until acknowledged. I am still learning the functions and would really like if I could entter my contacts in the computer and have it talk to my phone rather than the tedious process of entering all the info by hand. Since the razor would not let you have more than one number per person per entry, I have to reenter all date into one location. (at least it appears I have to - I asked an AT&T person and they said that was the only way, but I think I will ask another. The battery life really sucks, cannot get thru one day without it dying (completely if used any length of time). I plan to buy another battery to see if it helps. for now I keep a charger handy. Overall I would recommend this phone as an interim phone (great price from the ebay vendor ($115) but not AT&T's price until they come out with smart phone that does what this does but better.Read full review
A very handy and economical phone. Basic features are well done: very easy to use keypad, volume control, and well-locked and unlocked face. Good access 3G if you wish it, and if you just want a phone, those special features can be excluded by menu. Like all touch-screen types, you have to learn to handle it a bit gingerly to avoid extraneous menu popups. The camera may not have huge mega-pixels, but you can print a great 8x10 from it if desired anyway. Not only a great device, but you could buy a dozen for the cost of that fruit phone.
I was looking for an affordable qwerty slider and this fit my needs. I use my tmobile sim card in it, no problems however I can't get on the 3G network or receive/send picture messages. This isn't the phone's fault though but a mere complication when using unlocked phones. Texting is great, the main reason I bought the phone. For a used phone it was in great condition, looks new. I was using the Samsung Behold before which had an awesome camera but the OS was worse than this phone. Swiping around home screens doesn't always work right away but its still a very cool feature. I wish the locking mechanism was different or worked better, perhaps mine is faulty due to being used. Sometimes the sliding lock gets stuck so i have to wait for the phone to dim and go to standby. But I've learned to cope. I love threaded texting! Camera is nothing special but if you want a sleek phone you can text your heart out on this is a great buy. Something I wasn't expecting but is very important is the phone call quality. Its great! much better than my samsung. I was surprised how clear my first call was and angry that I thought my samsung call quality was the norm. Because I'm not on att I can't say much about the apps since I can't use them.Read full review
I was looking for a phone with a querty keyboard for texting as well as a touch screen. This being my first experience with this type of phone and only having it for a few days, it's been pretty easy to get up and running. The Pantech Ease I bought was used and didn't come with the manual, but so far so good. Think I'll try to get my hands on a manual though as I would like to know more about the phone.
I had a Pantech Ease for a year or so previously, then it fell out of my pocket into water . . . as quickly as I acted, it wasn't quick enough. THe cellular rep could not save it. I asked for another just like it, and was told they didn't carry it any longer. I got a Samsung phone instead, and it took so much longer--and you had to go through so many more steps to achieve the same purpose, that I became totally frustrated with it. I finally decided that I couldn't stand it any longer and went searching for another Pantech Ease. I was now back in familiar territory, and was happy. Lately it has been turning off (by itself?) once in a while, but overall I really like the phone and its simple ways to navigate from one thing to another. I will definitely look for another Pantech product in the future first, before trying another brand again.Read full review
