Purchased this cell phone for my "senior" husband because it was recommended for seniors. Very easy to program and he likes the large numbers and large fonts on the screen. I like being able to change the phone mode to advanced when I want to program it and then switch it back to Breeze mode for him to use. The quick call keys are also a bonus. I don't like that you can't program the navigation keys in standby mode. That's the reason for my 4 star rating. Other phones we have had, you can always program the navigation keys.
I’ve owned several brands and models of cell phones over the past ten years and I have to say the Pantech Breeze II (P2000) is the best one I’ve ever owned to date. As a baby-boomer my eye-sight and hearing aren’t not what they used to be. A great plus for this phone is the huge key-pad and nice large, brilliantly colorful, clear screen, even in bright sunlight. Voice quality both transmit and receive are loud and clear. I had to turn the volume down from factory settings because it was too loud. Access to menus is simple and easy to understand and navigate. Some functions are hidden due to inadequate descriptions, but were easily found and understood with a little help from the user manual. I don’t do text messaging, email, or browse the internet, but I could quite handily on this phone. My kids hit me with texts every now and then and it’s very simple to reply. Even though the keys are a bit flat, they are adequately spaced so my stubby fingers don’t accidentally press buttons I don’t intend. The 3 quick call buttons are easy and simple to program with my most called numbers or apps. Voice command and dialing is great. The Nuance Voice system understands what I’m saying most of the time. The external speaker vibrates in voice command and speaker phone modes though even when turned down. This is the only issue I’ve had with the phone. I can live with it just fine. The 1.3MP camera and video recorders works pretty good. I can also assign picture ID and special ring tones for specific callers in the address book. I love music and the P2000 supports Micro SD which I installed. I loaded up all my favorite music and audio seminars for private listening on the Bluetooth headset; really sweet. I haven’t used the GPS Navigation turn by turn yet. But I’ll have a chance in the near term. I use a few of the built in features like Alarm Clock, Calendar, and Tip Calculator. You can even use these while on a call. There are bells and whistles I’ve yet to use, but I will eventually. Signal strength is low because I live in a urban area with rolling hills, but I can still use the phone with one bar and call quality is ery clear. I can’t say enough good things about this phone. So far the only issue is the speaker vibration in certain modes. Otherwise the phone is not only awesome, but it’s a Breeze to use. It far exceeded my expectations. I love it.Read full review
The Pantech Breeze II is a great full function phone designed with the senior population in mind with the larger keyboard, size, and font available. This is our second Breeze II and we are very pleased with it's reliable function, good tower access strength and very few dropped calls. A neat feature we have not had before on our cell phones is the 3 buttons at the top which you can program in the numbers to those people you call the most and it is a speed dial to that number. We also like the larger info screen on the front that tells you who is calling without opening the phone to see. The menu is easy to navigate and understand. We would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking for a great looking phone to make reliable calls with. We are very pleased with the value we received for our money.Read full review
I bought this phone because I wanted an easy to use flip phone. I like the size, shape, & color. Keys are nice and big and the text is as well. I have no gripes about the phone at the moment and I've had mine for about 2-3 weeks. This phone does not have all the bells and whistles that you might get with , say, a crackberry, but obviously you aren't in the market for a smart phone if you are reading this review. Good luck.
I bought this phone because the one I bought years ago finally wore out! It is an easy phone to use and I, personally like the flip phone....no accidental calls!! It has all the features I need. It is just the right size. The keys are large enough you have no problem dialing. The screen is large enough to view your photos easily.I am so glad I found a replacement for my old one.
