I have used the Panasonic KX-TG4500B for about 15 years. The sound quality is always good, the base system functions flawlessly, and the cordless handsets hold up to a lot of abuse. It has many, many very useful features, like different ring tones for different lines, different voicemail boxes, remote retrieval of messages, the list goes on and on.. Too bad Panasonic no longer makes this system.

The four line phones are not as dependable as the two line units. The base phone is getting to the point that it has to be "reset" as none of the hand units will work when the base is on the fritz. We seldom use the base, it was bought because it has be available to operate the hand units. The dial touch keys are horrible on the hand units. It is often difficult to get the buttons to respond when they are pressed. I have noticed a number of sellers on ebay are offering replacement touch pads. It seems we will be buying them in an attempt to save money as the new ones eventually develop the same problems. Panasonic is a trusted name and they are probably the only one to make a four line system that is reasonably affordable. How hard would it be to make a better touch pad?! These are not high usage phones and they are acting like they are slowly wearing out.Read full review
This is the second generation product and I have owned both. This one is much better than the first with better design, range and features. The first on had problems with the keyboard as the number 1 key would not function. This one seems much better. It could have a better loudness control and it would be better if the muting was easier to use. Overall, a good product.
nice upgrade to the older 2.4 ghz generation phones. still the best small business solution for flexibility, ease of use and installation. biggest upgrade is all cordless units now are self standing and have speakerphone function built in eliminating the need to have the corded/cordless unit. batteries are now simpler to install/replace and probably cheaper too. sound quality appears about the same. prices on the older units have dropped so good deals are to be had.
I have had phones for a little bit. The handsets work for only 3 or 4 hours then you have to take battery out and put it back in so it can locate the base. Then you have to reprogram the phone. The base works great. I needed a phone with 3 lines and you can only get one with 4. I needed this for the office asap. This was the only one for a good price. I guess I made the wrong choice. So I have bought other handsets.
