Excellent sound, very extended range, and all the necessary features. The only thing about ALL cordless phones is availability of a shoulder fixture to make hand's free. (Yeah, I know, use Speaker Phone.) The saving grace is, there IS a little door that opens to a micro RCA plug that allows attaching a head set.

My only complaint is the sound. There is an echo effect and a hollow sound like being in a basement. I'm still working on the settings so hopefully this is resolvable. I bought this particular phone more for work where I participate in conference calls and wanted the speaker set up to not have t hold the phone for extended periods of time. It does work well with that feature. You can also mute to eliminate barking dogs during the call. Still have not figured out the call waiting to switch back and forth between callers. I still have some reading to do in the manual.

After about 7 weeks of use, we really like this product. Compared to previous solutions, the numbers on the buttons and display are larger and volume is great. Phones have a "smart" feature that lowers signal strength when phone is close to the base, which helps the batteries last a long time. The recording system does not record hang-ups. There is a voice recognition system that announces who the caller is. Annoying at first, it does allow me to decide whether or not to run for it when the phone rings. (With the proliferation of marketing calls lately, we frequently choose to ignore the call.) The soft keys on the handsets allow multiple convenient functions, including retrieving and deleting voice messages from the remote location. Some of the soft menu options seemed confusing at first, but hang in there: they all seem quite intuitive by now. This is my 5th Panasonic cordless phone/answering machine, each one better than the previous. Dramatic improvement in sound over the previous which was also has DECT 6 plus. Seems like after a few years (4-5) of usage, the sound quality just deteriorates. Instead of replacing the batteries, just replace the set.
