I've had this device for about a month now. It's my first entrance into Blu-Ray Players. What sold me was the Wi-Fi option to programs like netflicks, Hulu plus, YouTube, Pandora and more. We had been using the entry level Roku for our Panasonic 42" Plasma TV. I gave a four star rating primarily due to the Features, Wi-Fi capabilities, and extremely low cost. I was surprise at how compact the device is. No Flashy lights or menu windows, just a few low profile buttons on top to open, power-up the device. I found myself wishing it had more access in internet channels besides the pay channels.
I don't own many blu-ray DVDs but this player works great with even badly scratched standard DVDs. Be sure you have a universal remote, there is some minor programming when you turn it on the first time. Like most Panasonic products, this one is well made and works great!

I bought this unit for a small, second home theater set-up without 3-D. I currently own other Panasonic products and have had no trouble with them, so it was a no-brainer. Set-up couldn't be easier - power cable, an HDMI hook-up, and that's it (if you have a wireless network). The unit recognized my home network and connection was pretty much "plug n play". Load times are short and web-based extras (of which there are many) are all easily accessed and managed through the simple to use on-screen displays. I have an older Panasonic BD player that has nearly all of the streaming content as this unit, but this newer interface is much, much better. Much appreciated is the ability to add directly to your Netflix que for streaming movies. Have yet to see any problems with video processing - a relatively short side-by-side comparison with a much costlier player revealed no differences in video quality, or any undue artifacts. This player has been well-reviewed by the "experts" in this regard also. The unit itself is small and sleek, and not unattractive. The major control buttons are on the top, so be aware if you are rack-mounting or stacking components. There is also no display of any kind - not really an issue as everything will be available on-screen. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Especially factoring in the price this can be had for, it's definitely worth your attention if you are looking for a solid player with wireless network capability, excellent video processing, and lots of internet apps. I'm actually buying 2 more to replace older units without wireless internet capability.Read full review
I haven't actually used the bluray player itself. I bought this just for streaming my local media. Pros--Cheap, good video output, DLNA compliant, Can stream most popular video formats from the local network. Cons--Mostly just small annoyances, but worth mentioning: 1. When I first hooked it up, I tried to update the firmware, and the player hung up. After an hour or so, I just shut if off. The player started up fine. 2. The remote is clumsy to work with. When streaming the local media, it seems like there is no way to exit out of your video, back to the folder structures. You have to exit out completely, then navigate back to the video.
The DVD player is a good product. Was disappointed with the remote though. The buttons were sluggish and the pause control for the DVD players stopped working.
