The case is well-build and very nice. However, it fits the pod Palm Pilots slightly better than the Palm III. It's light and durable. And it looks very well, of course The Palm IIIe itself is not bad if one expects great battery life (more than 2 weeks of normal use on two AAA batteries). OF course, the device is only compatible with older computers - it requires a serial port for connection and aproper OS (the Window XP or older, for example). If you use Linux on your desktop, you most probably will be able to use the Palm withou issues (with a proper USB to Serial converter and the jPilot software). And don't forget that the Palm IIIe has only 2 MB of RAM which can limit number of installed applications.

The Palm IIIe is a second generation palm pilot. It is very, very easy to use and provides the basic tools for organizing and storing a lot of data. This is my second one, I crushed the first in a car door when it slid off the seat as I was closing the car door. It was very easy to take the e-bay purchased item and upload my saved data from my PC. It was like never loosing the original. It holds 4 MG of info which is plently for holding basic data. If you need a color screen, a small compact unit, and the latest bells and whistles this is not for you. This is a very simple basic tool. It has no capacity for downloading large files, it is not a phone. However, if you just need to organize your life and keep track of appointments, birthdays, special events et. this is a good tool. It is important to keep a copy of the data base on you PC so you can recover everything if you ever have to replace the unit. I also do not think the software is compatable with Windows Vista. I am using Windows XP with no problem.Read full review
What Can I say, if you are looking for something that can be used for a long time than this one is for you! Keeping phone numbers, todo list, calender, etc. This one has it. You do not need a fancy PDA to do that stuff. PROs: You can use this thing daily without replacing batteries for a month large screen Grayscale Cons: I realize that is easy to scratch on the graffi part.. =( The backlight drains a lot of power. Other than that 2mb is enough for daily usage.. no mp3, no nothing.. Is cheap these days. If you want something better go for the next generation or next next generation of Palm. ~Peter
Happy with my tiny Palm IIIe, took a few tries to get the Bible on there, but it works now. Install Bible Thumper

Nothing fancy, second one I have had, very easy to use. I use it to keep important info at hand that come up occasionally Nice calendar, and the address book is useful for keeping important info at hand like birthdays, anniversaries, kids names and DOBs and other important info so the mind doesn't get so cluttered.
