This CPU works. No fancy Hyperthreading here, oh no. Straight up quad core power. If you're looking for an upgrade for your current XEON setup, here it is. If you're trying to breathe a bit more life into an aging 775 board, this and a conversion sticker can get you there. Pros: it's a 3GHz quad-core xeon with a reasonable TDP. Cons: because it's a xeon, it has a locked multiplier, so you can't overclock it very well, unless you tweak your FSB timings.
