I recently picked up a Venue 11 Pro 7130. It was on clearance from a local PC store. The tablet worked great but I could not get it to charge at more than 3W. The adapter is pretty nice, it has a little light which tells you if it's working or not*. The USB cable goes from the adapter to the device and you can even charge phones and other micro USB type devices with it. The other end which goes to AC is varirable and as it is pictures will be a little part of the block that has a movable AC prong, so like a travel type adapter OR you can take that off and put a mickey mouse wire to it, extending it considerably. It's a pretty versatile and well thought out adapter. In terms of capability, it has several modes. It will charge at 24W but can do several different steps to give the tablet (or keyboard dock) a charge that will keep their batteries conditioned. You can change these modes in the tablet BIOS or a Dell app within the OS. So you can opt for a quick charge or something that will keep the battery alive for longer in the long run. You can also use it with other devices which use micro USB like a phone or Android tablet, etc. Of course as all power adapters go, it's the device which controls the charging so you can imagine my confusion when the tablet just wasn't charging at more than 3W, ever. Charging at 3W is very, very slow and will take you easily more than 24hrs to full since no matter what the calculation, the device is getting no more than .x amps or at best, 1 amp for charging. I thought it was something to do with the USB cable I was using so I tried several. I then had the idea to just get another adapter. It wasn't my first thought because generally when it comes to power adapters they either work or don't and the adapter displayed a light* - I've never seen one that worked to give "just this much" charge but not the full amount. Anyway, this was the problem and when I got the new adapter it worked like a charm. The point of this anecdote, if you have a Venue 11 Pro of whatever kind (there are several) which uses this 24W variable adapter and one day it just won't charge over the minimum which is 3W? Save yourself the headache and just buy another :) You'll find several other tablets with similar adapters, some 18W, some 19W etc. with similar power adapters. Take my advice, let the first thing you do be grabbing another one vs. anything else.Read full review

Dell makes three styles of the same Adapter Charger. One had the long cord, one has power plugs that stick out from the side, and this one has plugs that fold in. It fits the easiest into a small computer bag. The one I would always want to have.

The charger base is definitely what I was expecting. The cord itself is no better than the ones I can get at the dollar store!! I was expecting better quality (for the cord specifically) than what I got. Very disappointed. Now I have to go find another cord...

Works great. Just like my old one.

I don't know if I got unlucky or not but both of my adapters stop providing power after a few minutes of use. There is a light on the adapter that shows when it shuts off. I typically have to unplug it and replug it regularly to get a decent charge. Very disappointed. Will change this review if a replacement is sent. But have not received a response from my inquiry yet.
