Its designed to sit on a table and project from front or rear. You cannot mount it on a shelf say 6' off the floor. At 9'-14' you need a table that levels the projector 1' lower than the screen. You can have terrible trapizoidal issues if you dont. You could ceiling mount it. So you are sitting behind this projector. It almost has to be on the floor if you have a low mounted screen, it angles upward from the lense..I mean it has to be low ! I can see it used in a conference room, sitting on a big table in a business environment. The heat output from the front is overwhelming. It only has 2 "feet". one is for leveling left to right and the other raises the front. Its very, very quiet. The menu has more features than you could possibly use. the picture quaility is outstanding. The specs are correct for this unit. Pros: Quiet, bright, excellent menu options. Cons: You must sit behind it or ceiling mount it.Read full review
I bought this product because I'm a teacher who's tired of having to sign out a projector every time I need to show a PowerPoint to my college classes. The one I bought was used, but I'm very pleased. The picture quality is not fantastic because the rooms are fairly well lit and it's almost impossible to get them really dark, but it's clear enough to show PowerPoints and videos to my classes of 25 students or less in a classroom setting without any serious problems. I'm pretty pleased with my purchase. It's a pity the one I bought didn't come with a remote, a VGA cable or a carrying case, but as I mentioned, it was used :o)
I needed a portable projector that I could using in various educational programs. Most of my presentations are to small groups and this projector is perfect. The only problem I have is with the remote. I can't get it to forward slides and there isn't directions. However, it does work as a laser pointer, a nice bonus. I picked this projector because it was inexpensive, but had all the features that I wanted. The only drawback is you can't turn off the lamp without turning off the projector or placing the lens cap. Some projectors have a way to block the lamp when you don't want to project for a short time. Since this projector is a discontinued model it is difficult to get technical or repair information, but I haven't needed this yet.
This is a great product to buy. However, it is only useful if all ur using it for is to run it thru ur computer. As far as the quality it has a great picture and it is a very good projector. The only bad thing about this model would be that it doesnt have RCA video connections so you have to buy a VGA to RCA adapter if you want to hook it up to a DVD or gaming system. But other than that its a very great projector and any optoma projector you buy will be great quality.
The projector works great. The picture is clear and couldn't ask for more. As I stated there are no real complaints that I have. If I had to pick something to complain about I guess i would say that it is alittle bothersome that it doesn't have a coaxial output but other then that it is great for watching movies, tv, or playing games with.
