This book was exactly what I was looking for; an instruction manual for effective witnessing. It gives many suggestions and tips to help reach people. It also gives you answers to many questions or accusations the unsaved may wage against you. I highly recommend this book for those who have a desire to be a part of God's work on earth through witnessing. This is a valuable resource and asset.

What intrigued me initially about this book was the title...I wondered what is the one thing you can't do in heaven? The answer made perfect sense. The one thing you can't do in heaven is witness to unbelievers. We have to do that now while we are on earth and try to reach as many people as we can, so that they, too, will go to heaven. This book helps teach us how to witness effectively to people and how to answer their tough questions and objections. It teaches how to use the law (the Ten Commandments) to show people how we all have sinned and are in need of the forgiveness and new life that only comes from accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and having a personal relationship with him).It gives many first hand examples from the author's own experiences with witnessing. It also gives us many things to think about to help us be more outgoing and bold in our witnessing. For example, the author asks us, wouldn't we be more willing to go out and witness to people if we were offered $1,000 each time we shared our faith with someone? That hit home with me. Of course I would be more motivated with a reward like that. Well, I should be motivated by Christ's love...to share him with the lost, so that they can experience the peace that I have. The peace of knowing that Jesus died on the cross for me to take the punishment for my sins, so that I can be forgiven and experience a new life in Heaven when I die. This book is well written and easy to read. It is an excellent book to keep as a reference guide for the times that someone asks you a question (i.e. Do people who have never heard of Christ go to hell?) that you are not sure how to respond to. If you read this book, I don't think you will be disappointed. "One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven" is also a nice gift idea for an Christian.Read full review
Super great book for Christians who want to be more brave about talking about salvation and who want to reach others for Jesus Christ.

This is an ok book about sharing the Christian faith. It is an ok resource, encouraging and only somewhat instructional. This evangelistic machine has plenty of insights and loads of experience to learn from. This is an unending series of short stories. He is good with transitioning from the physical to the spiritual; he's good with small-talk and little object lessons. The one chapter documenting success percentages was especially insightful. This is the only part that got theological. However, the author seems like a bit of a charismaniac. He doesn't always come across as being very humble, not to mention gentle and respectful of others (see 1 Peter 3:8-16).
