I've done the 10,000 steps per day challenge over the years. This pedometer is my "go to" pedometer. It is very accurate which is critical for pedometers. It is also easy to use, storing a weeks worth of information inside it. If you like having graphs or charts, you can hook it to your PC (with the included cable) to download the data. I'm a techie but not really into the latest generation of devices putting more of my life out into the stratosphere. I was so glad to find this one for sale because I wore my old one out a few years ago. Nothing else has measured up to Omron!

Some of the screen print such as the mode it is in is tiny and dang near need a magnifying glass to read it. I don't care for that it resets itself to zero when idle. How to use it is not explained very well either. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. .

I’m recently new to the Pedometer, but it's been an absolute blessing since purchasing. It’s great to know exactly how far I’ve walked, how many steps I’ve taken, and about how many calories I’ve burned in a day just walking around, (or just on my morning 2 ½ ~ 3 mile walk). This particular model happen to be the 2nd I’ve purchased. When I decided to try the pedometer out, I 1st purchased a cheap $5 piece off eBay, and trust me when I say I got what I paid for, LOL!! After doing some research online, I checked eBay for the most cost efficient Pedometer in my price range, that's when I happen to come across the Omron HJ-720ITC model, (pre-owned, very lightly used), for a remarkably decent price. It came as a “kit” with ALL the original accessories; ie: belt clip, safety lanyard strap, USB transfer cord, instruction manual, computer software disc, 1 - Brand new still in the pack Sony CR2032 Battery, and a metal tool to remove the battery cover. I’ve had this pedometer for about a month now, and it’s been everything that I hoped it would be. Mainly, and most importantly, I purchased this pedometer for the amount of miles walked and steps made during the course of my morning walks. After reading the instructions manual I set the time, stride length, and my weight, (since these are the main reasons for purchasing this pedometer), and went on my way. I was impressed from the moment I received it. It’s accurate and precise, since previously I was using the google maps application on my phone to track the miles I walked daily, and the reading the pedometer gave was accurate, just about dead on what the application gave. I do like how the device resets itself at midnight every night however, I am not happy with the fact that there is no way to shut the device off, which is a major drain on the battery. But other than that, yes I would recommend this device.Read full review

Incredible durability - had mine for over 5 years. Has all the features I need like reset at midnight and downloadable history. would much rather carry around in pocket - no orientation issues - than have it on my wrist. Anaerobic step counting is favorite feature for my walking exercise plan.Wish it had better battery depletion warning though.

The device keeps an accurate count of your steps and easily interfaces with the USB port and software. When coupled with the Omron BP791IT BP monitor, you can readily obtain a good picture of your activity and reaction. The only down side is the belt clip is too small and lacks a belt catch on the bottom of the clip, resulting in the clip sometimes "slipping" up the belt or pants waist line.
