Out of Camera jpegs have little need to edit (let's say they are 85% good). My Nikon D90 on the other hand, needs a lot of editing to make it pop out (out of camera jpegs are, say, 75% good), but after editing Nikon's jpegs, they look 95-100% good. EPM1's jpegs, if you edit them, makes them reach only about 90% good - none of my EPM1 edited jpegs can touch D90 edited jpegs
I chose the Olympus Pen because it has a really nice underwater housing available. Olympus also provides a free image editor. When I shoot in RAW mode, the image editor has an "underwater" setting to correct for the loss of red spectrum in water. I wouldn't call it Professional grade but for an amateur like me, I love it!

Was a great camera until it stopped working, there is one avail on ebay right now that had exactly the same problem, which is that the camera attempts to take a pict and shuts down, though the video still works. At least three others across the web with same problem. Sad, this is such a sexy little camera with the best image quality you can get.. Also the silver kit lens had bad coating, tho my kit lens from an epl1 (stolen) could handle shots straight into the sun.
