If you want professional quality pictures without having to go to a store, then the Olympus P-10 is the perfect choice. Originally, I bought this to go along with my Olympus camera to avoid any potential cross brand issues. There was no need. The printer can do direct printing with any camera that is Pictbridge compatible. Pros: Thermal dye printing is just like what you get from the store prints. No need to wait for the print to get processed and done from the comfort of home. Picture quality is actually very good compared to some other photo printers. The paper and dye cartridge come as a set so you just load them together in the printer. Pictbridge compatible cameras will allow you to connect to the front USB port and print directly without need of a computer. The printer will also do 4x6 or 3x5 (with border) based on which paper set you install. Additionally, the printer is small and light. You can carry it to a party and start printing for friends or family. Cons: The per print price is not that different from the store. Average of around four cents a print if bought in a package of a hundred prints. If the dye cartridge jams up and you replace it, you may be stuck with a bunch of worthless paper since it comes as a set. Since the printer is small and light, taking it with me to an event is a nice option. Unfortunately, it does not come with a battery option so wall power is needed. The printer does not seem to be under Olympus support any longer. I was unable to find any updated drivers. The driver XP driver on the CD does work with Vista though so I did not need anything.Read full review
i love this design--all self contained-all the others have clumsy external paper trays and you must leave room at the back for ingress and egress of the print during processing which means you need an 18 inch long footprint.also the others have usb and power cords that invariably get in the way of the emerging print.while this unit looks bigger the footprint is much smaller and doesn't require moving the unit about.prints are great and cost of materials competitive.one negative:no driver for windows 7 and company says none in the works.
Prints wonderful pictures at a reasonable speed. a little noisy but the quality is nice. haven't purchased refills yet but I was told they are not cheap, average print cost is .40 cents per print
Very happy with my new photo printer. Arrived quickly and was just as I expected. Very convenient and prints great pictures. Compacted so it doesn't take up much space.
I bought this printer to suppliment my P-400 when printing postcard/snapshot size prints. Print quality is excellent approaching that of a photolab. This printer leaves color inkjets in the dust as far as quality.
