Anyone who has a passion for birds will not be dissapointed. I found it very informative with loads of detail about the birds observed since the beginning of birding in the continent and who was out there as pioneers of the hobby. Most interesting is the conflict between the original scientists (ornithologists) and the "opera glass" bird watchers who were less interested in all the specifics but rather simply enjoyed the observation and joy of the birds. That seems to have survived into today's environment of the sport.
