Good Grips makes the most awesome kitchen tools. My hands aren't as strong as they used to be so I love using my new, easy to hold can opener. It's so easy to operate that I think it's the next best opener to an electric one.

These days it's always tempting to buy something electrically operated but I live in an area where the power goes out frequently so I primarily stick with manual kitchen aids. There is nothing more frustrating than a can opener which doesn't work properly and I was impressed with the reviews of this one when my current opener was snagging and catching on every can, threatening me (and sometimes succeeding) with gouged hands every time I laboriously tried to open a half-cut lid. I LOVE this opener. It has a comfortable non-slip grip, it punctures the can with just a very light squeeze and the smooth ergonomic handle turns smoothly for a fast, easy cut even on cans with slightly dented lids.
