Nokia N79 Is very fast phone receives text and picture messaging quickly, GPS,Facebook,Gmail and youtube. The browser is average, difficult to sign on on ebay and other sites. No skype or watch movies. It has a 5mp camera and also a front camera. I am happy with it I bought a second one for my wife. It fits in your pocket with no bulges but need a case for it because it slips off your hand easily. Wifi works well and also paid data.
I did LOADS of research before deciding on the N79. I was really impressed with nokia compared to other brands, and looked closely at each of their phones. I chose the N79 because it had every feature any phone can have, WIFI, GPS, 5MP carmera, good looks, S60 smartphone operating system, stereo speakers, headphone jack. This phone was design to bring all of the best features into a small, inexpensive package with a conservative 2.4" screen which is still stunning compared a typical phone's screen. The only things that could be improved are a full keyboard and a touch screen.
Despite it having been around for a while, the N79 is a versatile and convenient device. Many useful applications are included by Nokia, including a Podcast browser and Internet radio browser. The music player is decent, and the Maps application works well, especially when used with A-GPS. The cost of the voice navigation subscription is trivial (ca. $15 US per year), and plenty of free additional apps are downloadable from Nokia. These include a Step-counter (turning your phone into an effective pedometer). Speech-directed Google apps are now available, as well as Skype, etc. The messaging app works well in conjunction with POP mail servers, and Hotmail, etc.. I also like being able to have easy access to the file system of the phone, which is not something you can take for granted anymore (iPhone). The s60 operating system is quick, even though the processor speed of the N79 is slower than more recent models. The N79 can easily multitask, run a few applications concurrently. The camera is good, but for best results, do experiment with different settings rather than leave everything on AUTO. The 30 fps video is smooth, and more pleasant to watch than video produced with, for instance, the more recent Nokia E72. Don't need touch screen or QWERTY? This might be the phone for you.Read full review

Simply put, if you dont like qwerty keyboards or touchscreen, or feel you could live without either or both, this IS the ultimate phone. Wifi, symbian OS (plenty of apps), integrated GPS (no phone company charge), great music player and speakers, internet radio, crisp screen, great battery life, etc, etc.
Great phone! Slim, light, and has all the features- radio, in-built GPS, WiFi, 3G, 5 MP cam, VGA front-facing camera, support for Ovi apps, and of course, the reliability and ease of use of Nokia.
