. I not only have developed kidney stones, but I'm a retired RN of 25 years. This, in itself, makes me somewhat critical of medically oriented books. I found this book to be excellent. Don't be afraid of the publishing date. The information it presents is still good, and not affected by the publishing date. I was so impressed by the book that I showed it to my MD. He also was impressed, by just browsing through mine. So much, that he had me order a copy of the book for him. I would say that is one of the best recommendations a medically oriented book could have. Don't be afraid that it is too technical. Although it contains much technical information, it was written for the layman, and any adult should not have any trouble with it. It not only tells about dealing with kidney stones, it has a huge amount of information as to what you can do to prevent them, simply by changing certain things in your lifestyle.Read full review

The only thing wrong with this book is it tells you not to eat the things that you like to eat but eating less is better than KIDNEYS FULL OF STONES.

It is a very informative book about avoiding Kidney stones. I just feel disappointed that almost all of the good food that I like are all stone formers. Tho' the reminder of the importance of drinking water was very helpful. But anyway, I enjoyed reading the book. thanks
