I use this to split audio from components, In my case a phono preamp output, tandem Sony CD jukeboxes, and a Blu-ray player into an Onkyo receiver and two 6 zone Niles home audio head units. The Audiopipe, although made for car audio, adds no ‘coloring’, discernible noise or distortion to the signal. All it takes for home use is to splice on a 12 volt DC power supply which, if you don’t already own, can be procured at any good thrift store. They are pretty common. While at your thrift store pick up some stereo RCA phono plug cables. You’ll need up to 9 of them. In my application I can now select from 8 sources using my Niles ZR 8630AV house system, and 3 of those inputs are replicated via this Audiopipe device on the second Niles, a ZR 4630AV for a total of 12 zones, 10 of them indoors, and 2 outdoors (patio, and garage). I set it up for home audio and it works great. It gives a great in-line audio voltage boost for subwoofers.
