Did a lot of homework on this lens, and was thankful to find one that was VERY reasonably priced. It's a heavy beast, but I have to say it fits all of the old reviews to a tee. Very sharp, and lets in plenty of light. Chromatic aberration is MUCH less than some of the other old MF telephotos I've been using...and the ease and clarity of using the focus ring is refreshing. This particular lens was less a few features (like the carry trunk and add-on hood), and had a few (VERY few) cosmetic blemishes. But I knew it was going to see a lot of tough service in my world...and so far, I'm extremely satisfied. Many Thanks! (Think I'll go back their store and see what else they have!)

Yes.. is DAMN SHARP. Keep in mind, it's a 5.6 aperture, you're going to have to have a fair amount of light when it comes to shooting or increasing your ISO. The lens is heavy and you will have to use a tripod or monopod. If you like long lenses and you do not have thousands of dollars to invest, this is an opsion. The manual focus with this lens is very smooth, you can operate with your little finger if you want.

Awesome sharp lens with very light movement needed for focusing. Took incredible photos my first time using the lens.

Great old glass, tack sharp and smooth focusing. Glass is as good as today's new stuff. Glad to have it in my kit.
