I wanted a large format lens that I thought could be kind of an all around lens for my Wista field 4x5. I have only been shooting large format for a couple of years but that experience told me that I was often grabbing for my 210mm and then going back to the 135mm. The 180 is a nice middle ground. Very good sharpness, decent movements (image circle). I only have about 12 inches of bellows on this camera, so I was looking for a lens that would almost get me to 1:1 fully racked out and be a little long for landscapes. This fits the bill nicely. I am very pleased. Lens was in excellent shape too! I already using this one a lot. I can't close my camera with this one attached, but oh well. I would recommend any of the Nikkor large format lenses. I have the 90, 135, 180, and 240. No complaints with any of them.Read full review
The lens itself was first rate and in great condition, arrived well packed and relatively quickly. However what soured the purchase a little was the £51 import charge that I was hit with a couple of weeks later.
