PLOT: very loosely based on Richard Ramirez the NIGHTSTALKER in the 1980's who stalked and killed women in LA~ this was supposed to have been based on a real life event~ Gabriella Martinez (Roselyn Sanchez) is a latino rookie cop~ partnered with a coke snorting partner~ boss who is sexually harassing her~ but deals with all the "issues" by offering clues into the mind set of the LA "Nightstalker" who rapes, then "sacrifices" his victims~ in a satanic ritual ~ he combs east LA for hispanic women~ when the 10TH victim is found the LAPD offer Martinez a job on the NIGHTSTALKER TASK FORCE because is SHE IS latino and a woman~ not because she is skilled~ her male detective partners treat her with distain~ but soon the leads locate Ramirez who is a always HIGH on drugs~ in "this movie" version the drugs bring out a 'demon and visions' of satan which is part of the dementia~ of the drugs~ WE could have done with out this~ the vivid flash backs do not add to the story~ when Martinez is soon on the stalkers "HIT list" when a LA reporter lists her as a "source" soon the reporter is slaughtered~ a final shoot out has Martinez and her partner in a life and death encounter with Ramirez~ in reality Ramirez had BAD teeth and an odor in this version his teeth are pearly white~ this could have been a great thiller but the endless "white drug induced flashbacks" only make us bored until we get to the real story OF Martinez VS the stalker~ I give it 3 out of 5 for good story~ Sanchez is excellent as the rookie. worth the watch once~ IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE~Read full review
