The description on this ebay auction stated that this OEM lamp was up to 3 times brighter. Initially, I had my reservations regarding the accuracy of this claim. Though I do own the equipment to measure ANSI Lumens, the video components in my home theater does provide a reference by which a brightness comparison can be easily made. I have a Samsung 40" LED Flat Screen T.V. that is used for normal viewing during the week. On weekends, when we watch movies, I pull a 7' wide video screen down in front of the LED T.V. and fire up the Panasonic PT-AX100U Projector. The image projected by the 'previous' projector lamp (not the original lamp) was significantly darker than the image on the LED Flat Screen T.V. This was not a indication of a lamp that was wearing out because the image projected by the 'previous' lamp never was nearly as bright as the image produced by the LED Flat Screen T.V. I just resigned my expectations to become tolerant of a darker projection image. In comparison, the image projected by the 'new' OEM projector lamp that I just purchased closely matches the brightness of the image on the LED Flat Screen T.V. I was quite impressed. Also, in my opinion, the colors produced by the Panasonic PT-AX100U Projector with this new OEM lamp more accurate than the LED T.V. In 2006/2007, review-after-review by professional independent agents rated the Panasonic PT-AX100U Projector with 5-stars. The word "incredible" was commonly used in these reviews. These same reviews unanimously rated this LCD projector superior to the DLP projectors that were available at the time. Nearly 10 years have passed since then and though technology continually pushes the envelop to advance and improve, if you are satisfied with a resolution of 1080p, I personally believe that the word "incredible" is still applicable to the Panasonic PT-AX100U Projector using this OEM Lamp. The lamp looks and performs ok. We just have to wait and see how long it lasts. A bit too early to rate equipment like this

Paid $30 for this bulb and the picture is excellent. I was shocked at how great the picture was, the old bulb had about 1800 hours on it and was 60% dimmer than this bulb. At this price I will probably just replace the bulb every 6 to 12 months. I've had the bulb installed for 3 weeks and put 20 hours on the projector with no problems at all. Great deal!

Perfect fit. Brightness is not as original bulb when I first got the projector. Hope I'm still good for another 2500 hours. Used it for about 10 hours and still satisfied.
