Notes
Limited vinyl LP repressing of this 1969 soul classic. Easy was the final duet album for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. It's hits included the Top 10 R&B charters "Good Lovin' Ain't Easy To Come By" and "What You Gave Me," while "The Onion Song," only a mild U.S. hit, became a smash in the U.K. It's B-Side, a cover of "California Soul," was popular as well. When Tammi unfortunately died a few months after the album's release, Easy became a testament to her artistry and the everlasting work she did with Marvin Gaye. Marvin helped to shape the sound of Motown in the 1960s, first as an in-house session player and later as a solo artist with a string of hits and duet recordings with Mary Wells, Kim Weston, and Tammi Terrell, later earning the titles Prince of Motown and Prince of Soul.
