the provided replacement O-ring was slightly thicker than the original. It would not fit. So, I had to use the orignal O-ring. There should also be instructions on how and where to put the O-ring (the front face of the new pump is slightly differently shaped than the original. It took me a long time to figure it out and I am quite handy. Had to push very hard for the pump to close onto the existing drain filter. (Whirlpool)

Great replacement motor, I considered purchasing the entire pump assembly, but with this motor and o-ring it made replacing the part very easy! Simply pull the front cover on the washer, drain the water, unplug the motor, grab motor firmly and twist counter clockwise, "boom" the motor then popped right out. Installed the new one in seconds. Entire down time was less then 40 min. Note the plug on my washer was different then the new motor, I just Dr-pinned the end of the plug, or you can use simple jumper wires.

Received in mail as promised. It needed a O-ring of some kind. Was easy to install but it leaked because it needed a O-ring. My old part didn't have an O-ring so I made my own using silicone, this was tricky. Other than that works perfect! Good part and cheaper than paying tons on a repair man for something that is an easy fix.

When my whirlpool didn't drain I had a heavy sunken feeling in my gut. As a new father of twin boys, I don't have money to replace the washer. While searching the Internet I came across different replacement drain pumps 6 times the cost (~$150) and then I came across this one. I decided to go for it and I'm happy I did. It was the exact same except the existing wire connector wouldn't fit. It came with 2 wires that had crimped connectors on each end and in literally a minute I had the pump installed with the wires connected to the pump and to the existing connector. It was plug and play. Honestly the only hastle with the whole thing were the screws holding the little cover on the front of the washer. I was so excited on how it was fixed that I pulled a chair up and had several beers watching it in action. I would recommend this to everyone. If your washer stops draining and the pump needs replacing buy this one. I saved $125 bucks and can buy more beer, diapers and formula. Cheers.Read full review

The drain pump fit my whirlpool washer well, and the instructions for the wire connections were clear and easy to understand. It made a huge difference in the overall washer operation.
