I own a SPARMAX MAX-35, and recently purchased the Tamiya SX. There are some similarities between the two airbrushes, but the color cup on the Tamiya is larger. Internally both the airbrushes look to be the same. I use the SPARMAX for spraying primers and utility work. Once I try out the Tamiya SX, I will compare the two. The advantage of the Tamiya is that it has a larger color cup, so there will be less need to fill the cup.
