With this type sight you have quick accusation. You have unlimited eye relief and a good field of view. Also being able to sight with both eyes open adds to your overall field of view and to what is going on around you. I like the manual brightness switch on the side over the newer digital mode made models. It has four different dot style sights to use with one being a red dot, a dot cross, a circle around a dot and a circle around a dot with the ends of a cross extending out of the outside of the circle. My favorite is the Dot circled which seems easier to sight. The sight seems to be a solid piece of equipment and has a nice finish.
Well, I had just bought yet another AK and decided to go a different less traditional route with it.....I put all synthetic black furnature on this one with Tapco railed handguard and gas tube cover.....I had decided on mounting the Sightmark red dot based on reviews I had read and, gave it a go........I first used Brownells Acraglas to permanently solidify the gas tube cover....(I know what you're thinking....but gas tubes a a dime a dozen and, easily replaced) and couldn't be happier with the results!!! I zeroed it in today....(I used a bore sight to get it on the paper) And, was absolutely killing it at 100 ft......the brightest reticle setting is perfect in bright sunlight.....I couldn't wipe the smile off my face........I recommend this sight highly.....it's a bargain at the price......it mounts SOLIDLY......and is easy to zero.........you wont be sorry.Read full review
