Works great up to 3/8 plate. power cord seems like 14 ga wire for 220? I replace this with 10 ga. also the short air hose going between the regulatoe and gage would balloon up with 80+ pounds of air. I also replace this. hane not used it alot but seems to work great so far.

I have bought 6 of these style plasma cutter if you get one that works it is well worth the couple hundred dollars they cost but out of the 6 I have bought from different places only two worked and each lasted a little over a year. I used them quite often and they cut well for 1\4 inch steel and thinner the consumables are cheap and don't last long . For my purposes they suit my needs . Just make sure you buy from a place that has free shipping and no hassle return . I also bought a $1200 dollar Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter that did not work much better and quit working after a year of use and the consumables were very expensive for it . So if you don't do a lot of cutting but would like to have a plasma cutter these cheap one might work for you just make sure you put it through it paces during the return period and buy a lot of extra consumables . Hope my experience with these units helps with any decisions you decide to make.Read full review

Got it yesterday and as I ,unpacked it, was surprised to find a very expensive torch instead of the cheap one with dinky paddle switch attached with cable ties. All that is needed was in the box. I made a picture of air connection. My only addition is the desiccant dryer. Tested it on the piece of 16Ga steel at 35A. First plasma cut in my life! Can't speak to the reliability yet but as far as setup and function - I'm very impressed. Not only I bought it for the lowest price, but got a better plasma cutter than many of the more expensive ones listed on eBay.

Im cutting thin roof tin. Its good for that, but you have keep the speed pretty fast and choose the right setting for amperage. Im not very good bc im a beginner. But I like it so far. I have tried 1/8" angle iron and with no problem it cut right through. Thanks. Good price I think. Now to see how long it takes to break it.

This unit didn't last till the water got hot. Got about 8'' of bead out of it before it blew up. Welds were 1'' - 2'' at a time over 2 afternoons. I had to fall back on my wire welder to finish my project.
