Have been using this for a month along with Philosophy Miraculous anti-aging retinol and When Hope Is Not Enough daytime and nighttime moisturizers. I can really see a difference in firmness of skin on face (some improvement on jawline and neck) and skin looks more radiant. Have 2 large dark areas from sun damage and they do not seem quite as dark. Will definitely buy this again.

I bought this product because I had read so many great reviews about it, thought I'd give it a try. My main skin concerns are: some very minor nasolabial "sagging" (my bf thinks it's ridiculous and doesn't even notice...but you know, we are our own worst critics), minor fine lines under the eyes, and some dark spots. I have to say, I have seen an improvement in all these areas after using this serum. Even the little horizontal lines on my forhead I've had since I was a teenager are greatly decreased. Those are the pros. The cons are that the bottle 'dropper' basically fell apart, so now I have to seal the serum in a plastic bag to mainain freshness. Also, the amount (1 oz.) is small, and only lasted me about 3 weeks. Although, I just ordered another because I seem to be getting good results. We'll see how the next few weeks go!Read full review
Philosophy is one of my favorite companies. I previously had tried "When Hope Is Not Enough" serum when I had ordered a kit from Philosophy a couple years ago. This product was great for me personally because I tend to have oily skin in the T zone, however I am at the "50ish" age now and so have a few lines on my face. This product was and is the answer for ME. It smooths your face beautifully. I apply foundation right on top of this and it gives a flawless finish (for drier skin than mine, you can apply moisturizer over this product). It is a good primer for makeup. When I was browsing Ebay and saw this product at such a reasonable price, I had to buy it. The product I purchased from Ebay was a little more watery than I remember, but it still works pretty good.
Philosophy when hope is not enough a very light non greasy serum that goes well under your moisturizer,sunblock and makeup. A little of the serum goes a long way so you don't have to use too much. I use this on my face neck and decollete. I have very oily skin and tend to have ocassional breakouts which I have found that the serum DOES NOT! contribute too. I have also started my husband on the serum and he has total opposite type of skin. He loves it especially because he doesn't like anything too heavy or greasy on his skin.It also has a tiny hint of scent but nothing at all overpowering and when it absorbs you can't smell it at all. He also finds that the bottle with the eye dropper makes it fast and easy for him to use when hes in a rush to get out the door in the morning..All in all I have used this for 2 years now and I will continue to use this product as long as they make it:)Read full review
I am 53 years young and have used Philosophy's When Hope is not Enough Firming and Lifting Serum for about 3 years now. I have noticed that it reduces small lines and keeps the skin on my face and neck soft and supple, not tight. It is oil free, so it is great on combination skin, such as mine. It does not break skin out and the added benefit is that it reduces facial hair growth too. I have also noticed that since it has c in it, it keeps my skin from getting sun spots. It's the only product I use on my face after washing, but I use it religously and have been amazed at the overall improvement of my skin over time.
