I did have to buy an appropriate screw driver to install it. It would have been nice to know that up front, along with the size and type of driver head needed. It took me two tries to find the right one.

The Dell XPS 12 is fussy about the battery being a real OEM unit. If it does not recognize the battery, it will not charge it. This battery fit perfectly, was immediately recognized by the laptop and charged up without issue. It is providing over 6 hours of operating time on the laptop which is as good as it ever did.
