Pros: - quick, hot coffee - auto shutoff after an hour (good safety feature) - can set time to start brewing (but can't read if it's below you) - small & stable Cons: - have to turn carafe completely upside down to get everything out, which is annoying - disgusting, depressing color for a kitchen - cord is shorter than other coffee makers i've used

It is so cheaply made. Need to be careful with the pot because it is so flimsy. It is also very loud when perking. Only has a one hour turn off. I would recommend the Kenmore 5 cup, 2 hour turn off, programmable coffee maker. We just ordered our second Kenmore. Much more sturdy. Other Mr. Coffee makers are OK, but this one I would not recommend.

Easy to use and clean, I bought one of the permanent filters . I havent had any problems with the spout of the carafe spilling or water splattering from the water reservoir. If you want to fill a travel mug, you need to fill water to at least the 3 cup line. I'd say 3 cups is the equivalent to maybe a "tall" sized coffee. My only complaint is that the coffee doesn't come out that hot. It comes out steaming at first, but that doesn't seem to last long. It could be that my travel mug doesn't keep it as hot as it should, but I wonder how starbucks and co. are able to get their coffee so hot that it can stay warm in a cardboard cup for like 20 minutes when I can't get my coffee to stay that warm in a travel mug for 10 minutes.
I've owned several Mr. Coffee 4-Cup coffee pots in the past, except now they don't come with a filter basket or even one paper filter. It would be nice for the company to include one paper filter so you could check it out the day it arrives in the mail. A filter basket costs more now, I guess, and the customer has to purchase it separate, but one paper filter with your purchase would be appreciated.

Perfect for forgetful single lady (me) It turns itself off after an hour so you don't come home to a baked-on coffee remnant. I use the re-usable filter with it. It doesn't take up much space on the counter. It's programmable and has a clock setting. I will always have one of these. They last almost but not quite forever.
