I have had several different models over the years and this is by far the best unit I have had. I have two of these now and may get another. I purchased the first one of these about three years ago and use it often. It still works like it did when it was new. When I saw this refurbished one, at this price, I couldn't pass it up. I wanted to have a spare, so I could leave one in the car and another at my house. That way, one would always be available. The charge time is quick and it says that the talk time is six hours when I put it on, but I think it lasts more. The stand-by time seems like weeks. Since I have two, one stays in the kitchen, one in the car. If I'm expecting a call when I'm cooking, I'll put one on. That one gets used the lest, so it is good for about two months between charges. The other I move from car to car, I may get a couple more to have one in each car. The noise cancellation works great! The best one for use in the convertibles, as it eliminates the wind noise, both for me and for the person on the other end of the call. And it is loud enough too. So many of the others that I've had in the past are weak at interstate speeds with the top down. Even though it doesn't have an inside the ear plug, it is still plenty loud. With the flip to open and close, you know when it is on or off, without having to look for an LED indicator. I could go on and on.Read full review

I have owned three of these. I like the design and the features. It is comfortable and easy to use. The voice control works pretty well and it announces who is calling, which is a very good feature. Depending on who you buy it from and the price you pay, it may come with extra ear pieces and a wall charger or car charger (check first in the description, as it may be repackaged and not in the OEM packaging). However, it has a problem. The last two I bought both broke after a short while. The latest one lasted only two weeks. On both, the silver rocker bar on the side that controls the volume came off. I don't know when it happened or how, but given that it happened twice, I suspect it is a manufacturing defect. I'm not hard on these, but I have put them in my pocket when not wearing them, so if you buy one, treat it with a certain amount of care. Also, with my latest one, I've gotten complaints about callers not being able to hear me clearly. I suspect it is that particular headset, not the model in general because I never got those complaints before, but given these problems, I'm switching to another headset. This is an older model, at least from 2012, so it is not covered by a Motorola warranty (I checked). I rated it not a good value, but only because yes and no were the only two choices. The more accurate answer is "sort of." These sold originally for about $100, so at around $20, that would be a good value, but only if it lasts. Make sure your seller has a good return policy.Read full review

This is by far, for the cost the best Bluetooth available. This will not disappoint you in either quality of sound or performance. The battery is only 6 hours of talk time. I keep a charger handy when not in use to make sure it has a charge. Charging overnight before using and sometimes while driving also helps. The unit has great features, but be aware not all features are available on older phones. This pairs great with any Motorola made phone, however older versions of Droid do not allow for caller ID function to work, newer ones are no problem. Also it is recommended you use MotoSpeak app when using this device.
This is the absolute best Bluetooth earpiece I have ever used. It has an incredible transmission range under average, good or ideal conditions; has a long standby time and talk time; has fantastic sound quality for voice and/or music; has the most practical on-board controls when you are away from your smart phone (you can even advance through your playlists while using your phone's MP3 player); the on/off switch is the lower mike boom which turns on when swung downward; connecting to your phone is extremely easy on initial installation and all subsequent uses. The body is metal and very forgiving of rough treatment. The earbud covers and ear hooks are both easily replaceable. The built-in volume control is an extreme convenience. The quality of this model inspires you to want to own multiple units.Read full review
Things I don't like: Motorola totally ignored big community of iPhone users. This headset is specifically made for Android phones. There is no apps for iPhone but only for Android, therefore middle button is unusable since it's for app manipulation. But no worries - we have Siri. Top bottom works with Siri just fine. I've been using this Elite with iPhone 4, 4S and 5S Things I like about this particular headset 1) This is my third purchase after I misplaced one I bought a year ago and accidentally damaged second. 2) Good sound quality. Good noise canceling. Can listen music. It's not Stereo of cause, but will do. 3) battery lasts a week or more, since headset is basically off when flip is closed. However, it reconnects immediately when you flip it open. There is one trick I learned. Headset can be paired with two Bluetooth devises, however, only the first one reconnects immediately, second device reconnects in 2-5 seconds. Therefore, your main phone should be paired first and if you want to use headset with second device, let's say your Bluetooth enabled PC/Mac, it should be paired second. In such case, when you have incoming phone call, simply flip the microphone and Elite connects and answers call instantly. 4) Stays comfortably and securely in the ear. No need to use provided plastic ear hook. Soft ear pod is comfortable and can be worn for extended period of time. 5) I personally don't like having headset in my ear all the time, so I purchased on eBay nylon neck strap with micro USB plug at the end. Headset has charging USB port on top, therefore it's easily connected to this neck strap. I modified the strap by shorting it and installing disconnecting hooks at the end, so now it really looks like a neckless. 6) it looks like a very expansive headset, not like those plastic "cheep" looking sets.Read full review
