Be patient putting it together. It took me 2 hours each from start to finish. Take time to straighten shelves first, they are bent & it pays to straighten the bent edges first. DO NOT tighten bolts until you are all done putting together. A little trick that made it easier for me was, when placing the nut on the bolt, just hold your finger on the back side of the nut then screw the bolt into it with a screwdriver, instead of trying to wind the nut onto the bolt. It's easier that way. Pretty sturdy once all tightened. I did flip the shelves upside down so the lip sticks up to help hold my jars in place. I bought 4 & am happy with them. They are going in my root cellar for storage. I would recommend & it is a great price.

The copy on these shelves claim they can support 750 lbs. NO WAY! the shelves are easily bent with bare hands as are the uprights. For my purpose they will be K as I screwed them to the wall and am using them for card parts bins where nothing weighs over a pound. Edges er sharp and can easily cut uncalloused hands. Two shelves arrived bent on one end even though the cardboard shipping box was undamaged. That means they were bent before being boxed. The entire aqssembly could easily be crushed with bare hands. If you need some serious shelving, walk right by these and choose something else.

At first I thought what a great price for metal shelving and "how bad can it be" well surprise it very...very bad!! It's made of an impossibly thin gage metal that card board box is stronger than the shelves itself...all the shelves were bent due to shipping even thought there are no signs of damage on the package. Very difficult to mount, flimsy to say the list the cross bars in the back is a must....a can of paint on the shelf will bend the shelf downwards!! not sure if the shelf won't brake over time with a weight of a can of paint!! Good all saying "you pay what you get for it" in this case not worth what you pay for it I fill like I was sheeted...

This is not an easy unit to put together and will take several hours, especially for the first one, but it is sturdy once completed and lightweight, even though it seems flimsy. There is enough "give" to it that you can force the thing to conform to a slightly uneven floor, after which the friction of the screws in their holes will help it keep from rocking. Don't worry if the shelves are bent a little when you open the box. Just bend them back. You didn't buy this thing for looks, you bought it for cheap storage. It will get the job done.

The shelf arrived with missing hardware though the cost saved easily covers picking up replacement at your local hardware. The only major issue with it was that many of the shelves were severely damaged requiring some sheet metal repair. A few of the shelves looked like they had been ran over by a semi which made for some interesting metal bending to get it back into shape to function. Overall I'd purchase it again.
