Many amperage options on this from 200ma up to 1000ma for both charging and discharging a battery. Of course some batteries like small AAA nimh specify a 'standard charge rate' of around 100ma, so it would be better if it had that option, but 200ma is well within normal 'fast charge' specs. For charging discharging nimh I only use the 200ma due to the capability of that kind of chemistry, but lithium can take much faster drain and charge rates whilst still giving accurate readings. Great to have a charger that can do nimh and lithium batteries. If it could do 9v batteries as well, (which it cannot) it would be the perfect trifecta. Battery capacity tests and internal resistance tests are both very handy and seem to be reasonably accurate. Drops to a very low trickle charge rate of 10ma so unlikely to damage a battery forgotten on charge if only a day or two. Read full review

This is a great little charger. I use it for almost all my charging since I received it. It accepts, identifies and charges most types and sizes of batteries. Batteries can be tested, refreshed, etc. It brought back a number of my ni-mh cells that I had given up on. Would definitely buy again.

simple to operate but provides most of the useful info for managing various battery types. Seems well built. long throws on the battery clips allows for various sizes. I made a wooden surrogate 'battery' to plug in other cells such as cell phone batteries.

I just received this charger today. I wanted it for my AA nimh batteries. I am only just testing it out for the first time with the first set of 4 batteries in it. It still hasn't even finished so this may be a bit soon for a review but here it is. 4 - 2850mah lumsing batteries for the first try. Charged to full...worked great (set at 700ma charge). 1 battery finished before the others so I started to discharge just that 1 battery (again at 700ma). Worked great. No problems setting it. So there was 3 still charging and 1 discharging. The 1 is still discharging and the other 3 have finished charging. Only thing I dislike about the charger is the cooling fan. Its cheap. It sounds fine and then it will change sound and sounds like the bearing is going bad in it. If I bump it the noise stops. So most likely it is a bad fan.Read full review

This charger seem the best option for 18650 battery . The lcd interface is simple to set and give precious realtime infos . Mine like others have the fan bearing problem but i fixed it before damage happen with a light drop of 75w90 differential oil inside the sleeve bearing and now this fan revv fast without any vibrations or weird noise ! I use 4 Samsung ICR18650-26H M battery at time in it and i am very satisfied about how this charger maintain the quality of the capacity over time of these battery . The manufacturing quality of the case is impressive and the circuit board inside seem more than a reliable design for the charge/discharge portion. For the functions controller circuit, the time will say but nothing seem wrong here . The sliders connector are a bit small and like any slider type charger a little oil drop in rails will protect the mecanism and prevent the metal dust from the friction of the slider rails going everywhere on the circuit board . Dont forget you have a fan under the hood of this charger ! This is the Cadillac of chargers and for me anything need to be done to maintain it . Buy it and you will understand right when you will open the box than this charger is clearly not like other ones ! Yeah a rare pearl, Serious charger over a sea of crappy other ones !Read full review
