The additional performance of the factory battery pack more than makes up for the additional costs over the knock off batteries. I have used both and can say that every aspect of performance of all of my 18 volt tools is better by leaps and bounds with the factory batteries. If you use your tools more than occasionally, and don't want to throw all of your stuff away and start over with the higher voltage tools now available, you cannot go wrong with the factory battery pack.

I was sort of expecting batteries that would match the original ones that came with my drill. These new ones are hard to separate (pull apart) from the drill after the battery goes dead. They also don't have near the staying power that the original ones did. That's probably because they are 2000 rather than 2400 milliamp hour batteries. I think I will continue to use these for now that I know more about them, but I will probably go ahead and spend the money and purchase some original batteries from a retail store. The only thing that is XRP about these is that they are the same size as the original batteries that came with the drill.

I bought two of these 18 volt batteries charged both of them fully and they do not have the power that DeWalt batteries have. I can grab the drill with one hand and stop it with one of these batteries in the drill. With an original DeWalt battery in the drill there is no way you can grab the drill and stop it you will break your hand trying. The batteries are useable and seem to hold a charge for a while, but I was driving 3 inch screws into wood for hours and these batteries just don't put out the power like original DeWalt xrp 18 volts. I was hopeful based on the price, but wanted future buyers to know the reality that I have discovered

The batteries went into the drill and charger fine. Maybe a little tight, but I thought it was because they were new. However, when I tried to remove the new battery from the charger or drill, it would not come out. I had to pry it out with a screwdriver. They appeared to charge and run the drill all right, but boy are they difficult to separate from the charger and drill. I am older and will not be using the drill that much, hence, why I bought batteries instead of a newer and lighter lithium battery unit. But I would not recommend this battery replacement if you are going to use the drill very much

First of all the batteries were difficult to place into the charging ports. The connection that goes in the charger is larger and I had to push it in for it to connect. Secondly the batteries do not have the power as the original batteries. I went out and bought a DeWalt battery, charged it, and there was a huge difference. Lasty, the batteries do not last nearly as long as the original batteries. They lasted about 1/4 of the time compared to the DeWalt brand. I'm only gonna keep these batteries for the DeWalt work radio that which uses that type battery and hopefully they'll last longer for that. Would NOT recommend at all.
