I have owned George Foreman grills and another brand also in the past. The Cuisinart grill works well. The one thing it doesn't do greatly is drain off the grease. Unlike the GF grills, this one sits very flat, making it hard for the grease to drain. I like how the drip cup is located under and behind the grill instead, so it doesn't get knocked around and spilled. I just wish it drained a little better. Other than that, it works well. The plates do remove for easier cleaning. They provide a plastic tool, fitted to the grooves, to scrape the plates; it does help in cleaning. I use it regularly and it works well.

This fantastic little grill/griddle has rapidly become my 'go to' appliance. It's unbelievably easy to keep clean. The plates just toss in the dishwasher. The unit is semi sealed for simple base cleanup. Fairly accurate rheostat for temperature. Grease tray works.

I was surprised how quickly this unit heats up and how easy it is to control the temperature. I use this for paninni's, pancakes other grilled sandwiches, grilled chicken was a bit messy but the pop off feature of the panels makes it very easy to clean. I love how fast it is compared to my electric stovetop. I waited a long time before I finally got one of these, had it a few months now and use it several times a week, lightweight to store in cupboard too. One lil tip, when doing a thick sandwich the bread tends to slide forward when ya go to close the lid, try using a spatula that u will need to remove the sandwich off the grill with anyway and use it to hold the sandwiches in place while shutting lid, works like a charm. ;) The feature of it lyig flat displaying both griddles is cool and super easy. It would not have been as handy if our daughters were still at home, but for two people it's just about right for lots of things. When it is flat it is fine for a couple of hamburgs, they come out nice and juicy and there is a second surface to heat rolls. A full size griddle is too large for us anymore. Cleaning is easy, it stores neatly in a cupboard, It's very handy and lightweight.

my panini grill quit working...but i like this one much better. first there's the fact that the stick-free surfaces are not only removable making for easier cleaning, but they flip over to a different sort of cooking surface. on top of that, the unit opens out so that the available cooking surface is doubled, in case it's time for pancakes and fried eggs. a much better product than even my panini grill, which i loved. right until i used this one! a superior product, with far more options than merely grilling sandwiches or meat.
